Company Background
ALTER TECHNOLOGY TÜV NORD S.A.U. (ATN), a member of the TÜV NORD GROUP, is the result of the consolidation of four European leaders in electronic components engineering, procurement, and testing services for space and other harsh environments. Our journey began with TECNOLOGICA in Spain in 1986, followed by the acquisition of HIREX ENGINEERING in France, IGG Components Technology in the UK, and TOPREL in Italy. Since 2011, we have been integrated within the TÜV NORD GROUP, spearheading its Aerospace business unit 1.
Facilities and Capabilities
Our state-of-the-art facilities span across Spain, France, Germany, and the UK, comprising a total of 8,500 m² of laboratories equipped with cutting-edge instruments under strict maintenance and calibration control. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including parts engineering, testing, procurement, and certification at wafer, component and system levels.
Our laboratories provide a wide range of test services, including radiation verification test (TID, DD; SEE), electrical measurements at various temperatures, screening, qualification, destructive physical analysis (DPA), constructional analysis, failure analysis, and full characterization of electronic components.
Innovation Activities
At ALTER TECHNOLOGY, innovation is at the core of our operations. Our dedicated innovation department continuously develops new capabilities to validate emerging technologies for harsh environment applications. We collaborate with international companies and institutions, including the European Space Agency (ESA), to advance research and development in areas such as optoelectronics, MEMS packaging, and characterisation at very extreme temperatures.
